New right-of-occupancy apartments are being built in the northern part of Verkkosaari, Kalasatama, Helsinki. Kalasatamankatu 29 consists of two 7-story buildings with a total of 66 right-of-occupancy apartments. There will be a variety of apartment options for different life situations, including studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom apartments.

All apartments have either a balcony or a terrace. The balconies face the street and are glazed. The top-floor apartments have their own terraces, also facing the street.

Residents will have access to various communal facilities, such as a laundry room, drying rooms, storage rooms for outdoor equipment, a multipurpose room, and a sauna with terraces and stunning views on the 7th floor. Each apartment has its own storage space. There will also be a large courtyard and a separate recycling room for the block’s shared use.

A shared underground parking garage with barrier-free access from the stairwells will be built under the courtyard. There will be ample storage space for bicycles indoors. Some parking spaces will have electric car charging facilities.

The roof will feature a green roof with solar panels installed to meet the energy needs for the building’s efficient cooling/floor cooling system. The project has received green financing from Kuntarahoitus, which is granted for projects that generate clear and measurable positive environmental impacts.

Kalasatama offers excellent urban living near the sea and nature, just a few kilometers from the city center. The Redi shopping center with its extensive services and the metro station are easily accessible, and public transport by metro and bus is well-connected. It’s also convenient to travel by bike or on foot. The area has a primary school and a kindergarten. The Isoisänsilta bridge provides access to the nearby Mustikkamaa recreational area, which offers beautiful nature trails, jogging paths, and beaches for residents.
