Hitas-owner-occupied, Turumankatu 20, Kruunuvuorenranta, 00590 Helsinki

Until recently, Kruunuvuorenranta on the western coast of Laajasalo in Helsinki was a distant dream for city dwellers. Now, nestled amidst the forest, near rugged cliffs and a long shoreline, an anticipated part of new, stunning Helsinki is being built. The first lucky residents of Kruunuvuorenranta have already started enjoying a good life amidst the maritime nature, yet close to services. In the future, the grandeur will be crowned by three beautiful bridges stretching from Kruunuvuorenranta to the heart of Helsinki.

Kruunuvuorenranta is known as the city of light, glowing beautifully during the dark hours of the evening. Light art and other carefully considered lighting solutions create a cohesive whole, blending buildings, stone walls, and the surrounding maritime nature. The area’s first light art installation was created in an old oil tank, glowing enchantingly in various colors across Kruunuvuorenselkä. More light art installations will appear in the area as the residential blocks are completed.

According to plans, Kruunuvuorenranta will be home to 13,000 people by 2030. The area’s services are rapidly developing. When completed, Kruunuvuorenranta will offer excellent services: schools, daycare centers, sports facilities, playgrounds, health services, and shops. The area’s first daycare center and grocery store have already opened. The Saari Shopping Center in Laajasalo conveniently serves residents, just a few minutes’ drive from their homes.

From Kruunuvuorenranta, it’s easy to travel to different parts of the city by car or public transport. Buses run through Kruunuvuorenranta to the Herttoniemi metro station, where the journey continues conveniently in three different directions. The Kruunusillat project has begun. The bridge complex for light traffic and trams will bring Kruunuvuorenranta significantly closer to the heart of Helsinki.
