A 7-story apartment building with an elevator has been completed in the core of Nokia, with 39 right-of-occupancy homes. Poutuntie 2c is part of the “Strand of Pearls” proposal that won the design competition organized by the city of Nokia in 2018. The area formed by Poutuntie’s apartment buildings is located along the city’s entrance road and is in an important place in terms of cityscape. The planning of the area has aimed for a high-quality whole.
Poutuntie is an ideal place to live, especially for those who value proximity to services and good transport connections. There are several stores within walking distance, where you can get almost everything you need. The trip to Tampere is also quick and easy, as the bus stop is in the immediate vicinity of the destination and the trip to the center of Tampere takes about half an hour. You can walk to the train platform in a few minutes and travel to Tampere by train in less than a quarter of an hour. A destination that appreciates its own car has smooth traffic connections with the highway to Tampere and the E12 road in the directions of Helsinki and Vaasa. The 24 parking spaces reserved for the site’s residents are located in carports.
There is an elementary and middle school less than a kilometer away. The newly completed secondary school campus “Silta” is a short walk away. The campus will be completed in the summer of 2022. There are several daycare centers in the area for the youngest members of the family, the nearest of which is half a kilometer away.
There is quite a lack of recreational opportunities in the area. You can take a refreshing dip in Nokia’s swimming pool, read the day’s newspaper in Kirjasto ja kultitutalo Virra, rent a SUP board at Vihnus beach, throw a frisbee at Penttilänpuisto’s frisbee golf course or just take it easy and enjoy the cultural offerings organized in Poutunpuisto and Pirkkalaistor.
The site has a variety of apartments of different sizes, with functional floor plans suitable for a wide range of living situations. The smallest apartments are 37.5 m² studios without saunas and the largest 65.5 m² triangles with saunas. The apartments have timelessly stylish surface materials; grayish laminate floor, white painted walls and tiled bathroom. The apartments’ balconies are glazed and the windows have blinds. The washrooms have a basin and mirror cabinet, as well as space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchens have a fridge-freezer, a ceramic stove and space for a dishwasher.
On the first floor of the house, there is a drying room and a storage room for outdoor equipment, which are shared by the residents. In the population shelter, each apartment has its own movable storage.
