The Kuninkaantammi area is located in northwest Helsinki, near the Central Park and Vantaanjoki River, north of the Hakuninmaa single-family housing area. An ecological and comfortable district has been built in Kuninkaantammi, which is both urban and close to nature.

The maximum depth of the pool is approximately 1.8–2.0 meters and it is filled with lake water from the Päijänne Tunnel. Palettilampi is a convenient place to cool off on lovely summer days.
