The Kuninkaantammi area is located in Northwest Helsinki, near the Central Park and Vantaanjoki River, north of the Hakuninmaa single-family housing area. An ecological and comfortable district has been built in Kuninkaantammi, which is both urban and close to nature.

The maximum depth of the pool is approximately 1.8–2.0 meters and it is filled with lake water from the Päijännetunnel. The Palettilampi pond is a convenient way to cool off on lovely summer days.

Kuninkaantammi is an energy-wise district, with residential buildings that are energy-efficient and utilize renewable energy. Natural delay methods are preferred in stormwater management.
